SUMMARY:1st MPT Orientation Programme
DESCRIPTION:The Orientation Programme for the First Year Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) students was conducted successfully on 2nd July 2026 at the Department of Physiotherapy to welcome the newly admitted students and familiarize them with the postgraduate programme. \nThe programme began with an inspiring address by Principal Dr. K. Vaittianadane\, who motivated the students to strive for academic excellence\, professionalism\, and ethical practice throughout their postgraduate journey. \nThe entire orientation programme was conducted by Dr. Adyata Dave\, covering the MPT curriculum\, academic calendar\, examination pattern\, attendance requirements\, internal assessments\, dissertation\, seminar\, journal and case presentations\, microteaching\, clinical postings\, research activities\, and institutional rules and regulations. \nThe examination guidelines and evaluation process were explained by Dr. Mayur Solanki. The programme was also graced by the presence of Dr. Rachita\, Dr. Nikita\, Dr. Ruju\, Dr. Parth\, and Dr. Rachana\, whose presence encouraged and motivated the newly admitted students. \nThe session concluded with an interactive discussion\, followed by a vote of thanks. \nOutcome: The orientation programme helped students understand the MPT curriculum\, academic expectations\, examination system\, and departmental functioning\, enabling them to begin their postgraduate studies with confidence.

DESCRIPTION:A Guest Lecture on “Awareness of Breast\, Cervical\, and Oral Cancer” was organized by C. M. Patel College of Physiotherapy on 3rd July 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the college auditorium under the guidance of Dr. K. Vaittianadane (PT)\, Principal\, and coordinated by Dr. Vishwa Pujara\, PT. The session was delivered by Dr. Ravi Lukka\, Senior Research Officer\, Department of Community Oncology\, The Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI)\, Ahmedabad. Approximately 200 students from Second\, Third\, and Final Year BPT participated actively and gained valuable knowledge regarding the prevention\, early detection\, and awareness of breast\, cervical\, and oral cancers.
